Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Freshman Keegan Dudeck had a career night of seven points, three goals and four assists to lead all scorers, and four teammates also recorded a hat trick, as Western New England defeated visiting Roger Williams, 16-12, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship semifinal game at Golden Bear Stadium on Wednesday.

With the win, the two-time defending CCC champion and No. 2-seeded Golden Bears (9-7) will travel to Beverly on Saturday (3 p.m.) to face top-seed Endicott--which routed Salve Regina, 25-5, in tonight's other semifinal--in the conference title game at Gulls Stadium. The Hawks now stand at 13-5 overall on the season.

In addition to Dudeck, seniors Sean Lawton (3 assists), Owen Caruso (2 assists), Colton Craig and Adam Knapton registered a hat-trick apiece for WNE, which built as much as a 15-8 lead in the second half.

Tim Kelly led the Hawks with five goals, followed by Jon Nessa with two goals and an assist. Leading goal-scorer Will Siefert was held to just one assist by the Golden Bears defense.

Kelly scored a man-up goal just 50 seconds into the contest before Lawton tallied an unassisted goal with 12:19 left in the first quarter. Nessa gave RWU the lead again with an unassisted goal 55 seconds later before the Golden Bears went on a roll.

Caruso found the back of the net, unassisted, at 9:34 showing on the clock to spark a 6-0 run as the Golden Bears went up 7-2 and they never looked back. Caruso and Craig both provided two goals during the decisive rally. Western New England led 7-4 after Nick Gagnon scored twice to close the gap by the end of the first quarter.

Western New England outscored RWU 3-2 in the second quarter and 5-2 in the third, matching its biggest lead of seven heading into the final stanza.

Kelly scored twice during a 4-0 run to cut the deficit to 15-12, but the Golden Bears kept the Hawks at bay.

Western New England senior Jesse DeLucca posted a team-high 12 ground balls while his face-off opponent Alan Williams had 16 and went 20-of-32 at the "X."

Seniors Jack Liacos (4 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers), Nicky Donovan (7 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers) and Trevor Scott (6 ground balls, 1 caused turnover) led the Golden Bears defensive effort, which saw 14 saves from junior goalie Brandon Body.
