BIDDEFORD, Maine (April 14, 2021) – The Western New England University men's lacrosse team bounced back with a 15-2 victory of the University of New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Wednesday afternoon.

Top Performers
Senior Brendan Lyons and junior Mike Bannon each scored three goals and dished out one assist for the Golden Bears. Graduate student Nick Gamba scored one goal and provided four assists. Senior Kevin Faustich had four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Kyle Kennedy and Alden Balboni each scored one goal.

Game Review
Western New England wasted no time getting on the board, with Bannon scoring a minute into the game with Gamba providing the assist. The Golden Bears went on to score six more goals in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead. Western New England kept their foot on the gas in the second quarter, outscoring UNE 6-1 in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 13-1 lead. The Golden Bears added two more to their total in the second half, sealing a 15-2 victory.
