SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 7, 2021) – The Western New England University men's lacrosse team defeated Nichols 18-3 in non-conference action on Wednesday evening at Golden Bear Stadium.

Top Performers
Graduate student Nick Gamba led the Golden Bears with four goals and two assists. Senior Matt Greer and junior Mike Bannon each scored three goals, while Bannon also dished out five assists.

Junior Hunter Ferreira, junior Connor Santoni, and sophomore Ryan Warner each scored one goal for the Bison.

Game Review
An unassisted goal from Gamba early in the game opened the scoring for Western New England. Ferreira responded just over two minutes later to tie the game for Nichols. The Golden Bears went on to score the next nine goals, taking a 10-1 lead into halftime.

A goal from Santoni early in the third quarter gave the Bison their second goal of the night. Western New England scored the next six goals to extend the lead to 16-2. The Golden Bears scored another two in the final frame to take an 18-3 victory.
