SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 28, 2025) – The Conference of New England (CNE) office has recognized Jonathon Salsbury and Logan Jenkins for their performances last week in WNE's 2025 regular-season finale versus Nichols College on Wednesday, January 23, 2025.
Jonathon Salsbury was named the final CNE Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week of the 2025 season. Salsbury played the majority of WNE's 16-6 win versus Nichols College on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Salsbury made fifteen saves and only let up five goals versus the Bison. Salsbury earned the win for the Golden Bears with a .750 save percentage. Salsbury also picked up three ground balls during the game.
The Golden Bears also picked up the CNE Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week with Logan Jenkins, who earned the award in the final week of the regular season. Jenkins had the third most points on the team during the game versus the Bison. Jenkins scored the first goal of the second quarter, which was the fourth goal of the game. Jenkins also picked up two assists during the game, and that totaled three points for the first-year midfielder, who also helped the offense with five shots and four on goal. This is Jenkins' third CNE Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week award.
Salsbury, Jenkins, and the Golden Bears will be back in action on Wednesday, 4/30/2025, at 7:00 PM, when WNE travels to Beverly, Massachusetts, for their CNE Tournament Semifinal game at Endicott College.
