What They're Saying:
Third-year Western New England women's wrestling head coach
Tyler Keane is excited for his team to represent on the national stage. "We're a young team that's hungry to compete and eager for the challenge of National Duals," said Keane. "Our student-athletes have embraced the daily work, supported one another, and earned this opportunity. We're excited to test ourselves and continue building on the national stage."
Director of Wrestling and Head Men's Wrestling Coach
Mike Sugermeyer, who has been with the program since its inception, is looking forward to seeing the Blue and Gold as a top seed in this year's National Dual. Sugermeyer reflected on the growth of the program over the past four seasons. "In 2021, we became the first NCAA Division III-affiliated women's wrestling team in New England. It has been amazing to witness the growth of women's wrestling across the country, in our region, and on the campus of Western New England University over the last five years. Coach Keane and his staff have done an incredible job growing our women's wrestling program to be in a position to compete for a DIII National Championship."
