SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 23, 2026) – The Conference of New England (CNE) and the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) have released their Athletes of the Week for the week starting on March 16th. The men's lacrosse program has one of their own named as the CNE and NEILA Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Week for a second week in a row after another top-tier performance.

Chris Catuosco has been recognized by both organizations after a performance last week that saw Catuosco only drop nine faceoffs in the span of two games. The Commack, New York native went 26-35 (.743 win percentage) from the faceoff spot, while scooping up 20 ground balls. Catuosco also scored a goal in the team's 10-9 victory versus the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday. A goal where Catuosco won the faceoff, scooped the ground ball, flew down the field, and scored in five seconds. A goal that proved crucial to the win.

Catuosco and the rest of the Golden Bears will start conference play this week with a matchup against Wentworth Institute of Technology on Wednesday, 3/25/26, in Boston, Massachusetts, at 4:00 PM, on Sweeney Field. They will be back home on Saturday, 3/28/26, at 4:00 PM, when they host the University of New England.
