SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 30, 2026) – Western New England men's lacrosse senior Chris Catuosco has earned his second straight honor on the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) and Conference of New England (CNE) weekly awards list following another outstanding week in the faceoff circle. 

Catuosco opened the week with 12 faceoff victories over 15 attempts, scooping up eight ground balls, helping the Golden Bears come away with an 11-4 victory over the Leopards in the first Conference of New England victory of the season. Catuosco was even better in a weekend CNE game at Golden Bear Stadium against the University of New England, going 18/22 in the faceoff circle, losing only two true faceoffs (two violations), scooping up 18 ground balls, and causing one turnover for the Golden Bears in the 10-8 victory. 

Catuosco is now 132/201 in the faceoff circle this season, winning 66% of faceoffs, and has picked up 100 ground balls and caused four turnovers on the year. 

The Golden Bears are riding a three-game win streak and head into two more CNE games this week, traveling to Gordon College on Tuesday, March 31, before hosting Roger Williams University on Friday, April 3, at Golden Bear Stadium.
