Men’s Lacrosse Sees Two Golden Bears Named Award Winners In Latest CNE Weekly Awards Announcement

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 16, 2026) – The Conference of New England (CNE) has posted their weekly awards for this past week, starting on March 9th and going through March 15th. The Golden Bears had two student-athletes from the Men's Lacrosse program named as award winners in the CNE. One for Rookie of the Week and one for Specialist of the Week.
Logan Proctor lands on the CNE's Weekly Awards list for the second time this season. Proctor has been named the conference's Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for this past week, due in large part to a huge game in Florida versus Widener University. In that contest, Proctor scored four goals and tallied two assists for six total points. Those six points were a big part of WNE's 20-9 victory versus Widener. Proctor picked up four ground balls during the two games this week and had a 1.000 shots on goal percentage after having nine shots, with all of the shots being on goal.
Chris Catuosco also earned a weekly award for his efforts this past week. The CNE named him the Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Week. Catuosco was nothing short of brilliant from the faceoff spot this past week, only losing five times. Number 25 went 31-36 and picked up 27 ground balls in two games for WNE this past week. He would assist the offense as well when it came to taking shots by taking three and making the goalie make one save. Catuosco was a major part of WNE's success in the contest versus Widener and kept up a terrific week in the Nazareth University matchup on Sunday.
The Men's Lacrosse program, along with Proctor and Catuosco, will continue their season on Wednesday, March 16, 2026, as they take on Springfield College on the road.
