Combining excellence on the playing field and in the classroom, Allison Jameson ranks among the top student-athletes in Western New England history. The pride of Brattleboro, Vermont became the first Golden Bears player named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-America and ESPN the MagazineCollege Division Academic All-America Teams her senior year. She also was a four-time NFHCA Division III Academic Team selection and the Western New England Coca-Cola Female Athlete of the Year in 2007. Allison was twice a NFHCA Division III All-New England honoree, four times an All-North Atlantic Conference First Team pick, and the NAC Rookie of the Year in 2003. A team captain, she led Western New England to a school best 19-5 record her junior year and was voted the Most Valuable Player of the NAC Tournament after the Golden Bears captured the program’s first NAC Tournament crown. Allison scored the winning goal on a penalty corner shot with eight seconds remaining in a 2-1 victory over Maine-Farmington in the conference title game that advanced Western New England to the NCAA Division III Championship for the first time. Allison led the team in scoring each of her four seasons from her forward position, ending with a school record 152 points (63 goals, 26 assists). The Golden Bears enjoyed a 56-34 record (62.2 winning percentage) with Allison in the lineup, including a 28-6 mark against NAC opponents. Allison received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications and Advertising, and earned a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from Emerson in 2009. She serves as the Communications Coordinator at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
