Hank Bazan served as coach of the club football team from 1970 to 1979. He guided the Golden Bears to 38 victories, which included six winning seasons, and was selected the National Club Sports Association (NCSA) Coach-of-the-Year in 1974. A resident of Chicopee, Hank also was instrumental in the fundraising and construction of the football stands and press box that still remain in the center of campus. Hank retired as a professor of management and business at Western New England College in the spring of 2000.
