Western New England University

A native of Agawam, Massachusetts, Steve Byrne holds the school record for points per game average (2.45 avg.) and ranks second with 125 career points (55 goals, 70 assists) in 51 games. A forward, he led the Golden Bears in scoring during the 1988-89 season with 37 points (15 goals, 22 assists) and again in 1989-90 with 62 points (25 goals, 37 assists). With Steve leading the way, Western New England College participated in three ECAC post-season tournaments.
