Western New England University

Margaret Apanell was one of the pioneers in women's athletics at Western New England as a member of the first varsity field hockey team. Despite playing just two seasons, she is the all-time leading scorer at WNEC with 36 goals. Her 24 goals during the 1981 season was a New England Division III record.
