Jim Bayne '08 was one of the most consistent basketball players to ever touch the hardwood in WNE men's basketball history. Bayne's legacy is all over the record books for Western New England, on both the career and single-season record side. Bayne is one of just 26 members of the 1,000-point club in the program's 57-year history, eclipsing 1,332 career points while wearing blue and gold, which currently sits at 10th of all-time in the program. Bayne also sees his name in the career record books for total rebounds (920, 2nd), rebounds per game (8.7, T-7th), career blocks (78, 7th), total games played (106, 5th), free throws made (308, 7th), and free throw percentage (.796, 8th). Bayne's 291 rebounds during the 2004-2005 season with WNE sits 8th in single-season rebounding total, while his .827% free throw shooting in 2006-2007 sits 10th in single-season program history. Bayne was named 2008-All TCCC Honorable Mention to cap off his outstanding career with the Golden Bears during his senior season.Â
