Eileen Monaghan Brooks, a native of nearby Chicopee, Massachusetts, was a four-year starter in both basketball and soccer and team captain in both sports. On the hardwood, she played a forward position and scored 1,209 points that ranks seventh on the school’s all-time list. She led the Golden Bears in scoring in her junior and senior seasons, and was a team captain in her final year. In soccer, Monaghan Brooks ranks third on the school’s all-time list in scoring (147), third in goals (57) and fourth in assists (33). She was a two-time All-GNAC First Team selection at a forward spot as a sophomore and junior, and named to the GNAC All-Tournament Team her junior campaign. Monaghan-Brooks was a key member of the 1995 squad that captured the program’s first GNAC Tournament title and was an All-New England selection as a senior. A Management major, Monaghan Brooks was the Western New England College Female Scholar-Athlete-of-the-Year for 1996-97
